Lina Areklew, known for her The High Coast series, has established a new scholarship aimed at high school students. The initiative seeks to inspire and support young individuals.

Debuting in 2020, Areklew has swiftly gained recognition in the literary world. Now she wants to inspire others to put that creative pen – or rather keyboard these days – to use. She is doing this by setting up a scholarship, this year aimed at students at Nola and Park (schools in the Örnsköldsvik area where Lina grew up) who will have the opportunity to take part in a short story competition. In addition, the winner will be presented at Mittlitt this autumn.

– “It would have been something I would have found exciting to participate in when I was in upper secondary school and dreamed of writing.”, Lina Areklew says.
