An anesthetized 17-year-old is lying on an airplane waiting for the liver transplant that will save his life. A surgery that will take place at Teresa Leboucher’s private hospital in Dhaka. On a train headed towards the same destination there is a boy from an orphanage with the hopes that his dreams about a better life soon will come true.

Amanda and Bim have had a couple of weeks of vacation in Thailand together with Rasmus and Amanda’s twin sister Juanita. On their way home they need to make an emergency landing in Bangladesh and at the luxury hotel they check in to they see a poor boy that doesn’t seem to fit in. Through a tangle of lies Bim and the teenagers see another reality that is much worse than what any of them ever could have imagined.
