SUSANNE STAUN IS probably best known for her series featuring profiling expert Fanny Fiske, a series that seamlessly blends high-octane suspense with chick-lit. Her books exude a raw and refined psychology coupled with dark humour that has made her one of Denmark’s most respected crime authors.

AFTER THE FANNY Fiske series, Staun published a trilogy about forensic pathologist and deputy state coroner Maria Krause. Darkwoods, the first novel in this series earned her the Danish Crime Academy’s Award for Best Crime Novel as well as nominations for Weekendavisen’s Literature Prize and The Glass Key.

HER LATEST NOVELS, Traitors in Vilnius and The Agents of Chaos, are the first two volumes in a thriller trilogy about an uprising in The Baltic States that aims to separate Russian-speaking areas and create independent new states in an alliance with Russia. Inspired by current events in the Donbas region in Ukraine.
