PERSONSKADE – PERSONAL INJURY
by Elsebeth Egholm
It is a warm late summer evening when Dicte Svendsen and her boyfriend Bo are called to Århus harbor. There is utter chaos as the police try to quell a riot between a group of immigrant youths and security guards. But the menacing atmosphere takes an unexpected turn when they suddenly discover the body of a dead woman. Detective Inspector John Wagner is assigned to the case and it becomes his task to find out who the woman is. And not least: where has the child she recently gave birth gone? Dicte, in turn, begins to do her own investigations, which lead her right into a tangle of trafficking, hostility to immigrants and shady adoption agencies. Something that has devastating consequences for everyone involved.
Elsebeth Egholm is one of Denmark’s most read authors. Personal Injury is the third, independent part in her acclaimed series about the journalist Dicte Svendsen.
