BLÄCKFISKEN – THE OCTOPUS

By Maria Grund

LATE SUMMER OF 1996, the small village of Augu  is shaken by a shocking crime. A woman has been severely injured in the Ria Forest just outside the village and is suffering from memory gaps.

MEANWHILE, SANNA BERLING is preparing to leave the Kalmar police force and move back to Gotland to start a new life. But when the investigation stumbles and the police are left in the dark, Sanna gets swept up in the hunt for the perpetrator.

THE CLUES LEAD Sanna and her colleagues deeper into the darkest corners of the truth. Bit by bit, the woman begins to recall more of the events, and a terrifying picture emerges. When the perpetrator strikes again, the hunt becomes a race against time. Who is the Ria Man? How dangerous is he? Who will be his next victim? And why does the search for him repeatedly lead Sanna back to the people close to her?

THE OCTOPUS IS the second installment in the series about Sanna Berling as a young police officer.
