Therese Bohman

Acclaimed Swedish author Therese Bohman has been awarded Vi’s Literature Prize 2025 for her novel Mount Verity. The award, presented by the magazine Vi, honors outstanding contributions to Swedish literature.

In Mount Verity, Bohman crafts a haunting coming-of-age story set in her childhood landscape of Kolmården. The novel follows Hanna, whose brother Erik mysteriously disappears near the enigmatic Sanningsberget in 1989. As an adult and successful artist, Hanna is drawn back to the past, questioning her own memories and the nature of truth.

Praised as a “suggestive page-turner,” the novel blends mystery with psychological depth. Bohman, known for Drowned, The Other Woman, and Eventide, continues to captivate readers with her exploration of art, identity, and the complexities of human relationships.
