When a party leader who is about to resign unexpectedly dies during an election campaign, the first thing that crosses your mind is crying murder most foul. Well, at least the cabinet minister thinks that is the appropriate thing to do. Determined to find the killer before the election campaign is over, the cabinet minister is almost admitted to an asylum, while his trusted assistant experiences the horrors of the political process while their intrigues and inanities blaze the campaign trail.
