DE UØNSKEDES PARADIS – THE UNWANTED’S PARADISE
By Katrine Engberg
FALL HAS ARRIVED in Copenhagen when private investigator Liv Jensen is contacted by retired lawyer Bo Riebenau. The lawyer feels threatened, and after what looks like a break-in, he hires Liv to find out if he is in danger. But when Liv is setting up surveillance cameras in Bo’s house, she gets locked in the basement and hears the old lawyer being murdered just on the other side of the door.
THE POLICE START an investigation, and when they can’t get to the bottom of it, Liv’s mentor, Petter Bohm, asks his old student for help. Liv finds a connection to a forty-year-old death in a shack in Christiania, where a young man supposedly committed suicide by dehydration. A case Bo was involved in.
IF LIV IS to find Bo’s murderer, she must first find out what really happened back then in Christiania. Who was the young man? And how does his death relate to her own family history and the events of her childhood that she can’t remember? Only one thing is clear: Someone will do anything to bury the truth.
THE UNWANTED’S PARADISE is the third standalone story in the series about private investigator Liv Jensen.
