Swedish author Susanna Alakoski has joined the agency and we couldn’t be more proud and happy to welcome her and be able to share the fantastic news of her latest project!
Susanna Alakoski is one of Swedens most prominent and important literary voices and she has previously been awarded with the Augustpriset for her novel “Svinalängorna” (2006).
In her new quartet we will follow four generations of women – mothers and daughters in both Finland and Sweden. It will be a story about the history of working class women and about the journey a lot of families took to ensure their own survival.
“It is my profound interest of the female working class – both the educational longing and all the hard work that was disabling – that started this whole process. The suspense will be focused on the female world, how the life of a woman is affected by politics, moral, the church, war, laws, the boom and the recession and everything else in between” says Susanna Alakoski in a pressrelease from the publishing house Natur & Kultur.
The first book will be published in the fall of 2019.
