We are thrilled to announce that Per Hagman, has been awarded the Albert Bonniers Stipendiefond för svenska författare scholarship fund for 2024.
Per is being celebrated for his latest novel Johannes and You (Albert Bonniers förlag), a work that continues to resonate with readers and critics alike for its literary brilliance and emotional depth.
The Albert Bonniers Stipendiefond, established in 1901, is Sweden’s second-oldest literary scholarship fund. It was created to support and highlight the achievements of Swedish fiction writers, distributing a total of 500,000 SEK annually. Each recipient is awarded 100,000 SEK and a bronze bust of Albert Bonnier, the founder of the publishing house.
The fund is managed by a jury of six distinguished Swedish authors—Daniel Sjölin, Anna Hallberg, Karolina Ramqvist, Stefan Lindberg, Mirja Unge, and Malte Persson—along with a representative of the Bonnier family.
This prestigious award will be presented during an exclusive ceremony in January, celebrating Per alongside other incredible authors contributing to Swedish literature.
Congratulations, Per, on this remarkable achievement!
