AS LONG AS  the snow remains, everything is fine. That’s what Sara, who is in her home town for Christmas, tells herself. But as the temperature rises and the snow melts, her panic begins to grow. What will be visible when the snowdrifts recede?

SARA TRAVELLED HOME to her parents in good spirits this year – Christmas is a restful break from work in Stockholm and the small town is beautiful in the white snow. Then the phone rings: an invitation to a Christmas Day party to celebrate twenty years since her class graduated. Sara wants to decline – she has nothing in common with her old classmates, and the photos that appear in the Facebook group don’t bring back any fond memories. But her friend Emelie seems to have decided that they should definitely go. Together.

IT’S GOING TO be a dramatic evening in the Christmas-decorated pub, with a fiery bonfire, old wrongs and life-threatening conflicts – and a protective blanket of snow that turns out to be crucial.
