Alexandra-Therese Keining is an award-winning director, producer, screenwriter, and author whose work has garnered international acclaim at film festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Rome, Rotterdam and London. Known for her ability to craft emotionally charged stories, she explores themes of human behaviour, psychology and societal challenges. Her critically acclaimed films include The Average Color of the Universe (2020), Girls Lost (2014), and Kiss Me (2011). Her creative vision often blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination, making her one of Sweden’s most distinctive storytellers. She was also the creator of SVT series Lea (2022) a crime story set in the brutal world of boxing.
In the spring of 2025 she will release her first novels for adults, to be published by Norstedts in May. Inspired by a chilling real-life case, this gripping crime thriller delves into the darkest corners of the human psyche, offering a terrifying exploration of extreme evil, in the vein of Silence of the Lambs and Seven.
